We lost Robin Williams to suicide.
We never really know these celebrities that we lose, not the real them. We know them only by their public persona and the work they leave behind.
And now that he's gone I know more about him than ever before and I can honestly say he was a much better human being than I ever gave him credit for. He was my favorite comedian and a damn good actor but I had no idea of all the other things he did, the joy he shared, the charity he gave or the deeply moving kindnesses he showed to people. He was an amazing person far above the public person we knew him to be and far beyond the comedian I loved him as.
I never knew Robin Williams personally but that doesn't stop the hurting.
