Funny Bone

When free tickets are being handed out the 4 musketeers know it's time to ride like the wind to the Funny Bone.

Katie was our surprise 'guest' for Ann. You can tell she's very pleased with this surprise.

I was just happy to be there.....or anywhere for that matter.

I was greeted with the usual amount of enthusiasm.

We spent the evening laughing at this guy.
He was the headliner...Tim something or other. In the long run he is very forgettable.

This is Evan Stone. I'm told he is a porn star. He's probably easier to remember. *snicker*

Scantic River Walk Discovery

While walking along the rivers edge with Bell we found some ducks having a great old time in the river current.

The river looked beautiful. And although it was a very cold day I had to keep Bell from going in the water.

And then I found this along a path I had never taken before. A camp of sorts. At first I thought maybe teenagers had made it. But it's really too well done for teens. Then I thought it might be that
some homeless person was trying to make a place to live...who knows? But when I really looked a little closer I started to get a bit uneasy. Although the camp looks to be left unfinished....abandoned even...I didn't like that it was created above the normal walk way. It can't be seen from that walk way but anyone at the camp could easily spy on people below. And there lies the creep factor.

I decided since my only companion was Bell and I was freezing anyway....I'd just wander on home and make myself some hot chocolate. So that's what I did.

Rob Scheider at Hukelau

This was my first time going to the Hukelau. We went to the one in Chicopee  and now I'm finding out from friends that lots of them have been to a Hukelau too. Popular places!

The bar may have looked like this...I'm really not sure. We breezed through the bar area on our way to the dining area...I didn't pay much attention. Both of these pictures are from the internet. I didn't have an opportunity to take pictures during the show and unfortunately there was no meet and greet after the show. The place was massive inside so I can't imagine him trying to greet all those people.

I have always liked Rob Schneider on SNL and in movies. I now know however that I don't really care all that much for his stand up act. I like him....however his act is too predictable and low brow to impress me. He started out with a great deal of foul language which I do not find amusing. In my mind that labels the comedian as second rate right out of the gate...not willing or not able to come up with clever; intelligent; or thought provoking material so they go low brow. What a shame!
However, he is still a cutie in my book!

Christmas Eve 2012

Like many other families, my family has traditions that we parade out on the holidays. We make special foods; we buy some special little gifts; and no matter what else we have to do we always meet at Marie and Tom's house on Christmas eve. It's the highlight of the Christmas!

David is demonstrating the traditional 'who are you people?' look in this picture.

Happy little Christmas tree meets guy with strange tree fetish.

This is almost good enough for a Christmas card. Man we're good!

These three were caught going through the trash for empty bottles.
We don't know who they are but they seem happy enough.

Hey, that girl got in another picture!

I don't know why these two are smiling...they are both on Santa's naughty list for two years running now!

Bunny has no idea she is part of a mime lesson here.

The food is almost never hot; the desserts are usually demolished by the kids; someone inevitably will spill at least one drink; and no one really ever wants the musical underwear they just got.....but it doesn't matter. None of that matters. Because that's not why we're there. That's not why we rush through other obligations and shopping expeditions just to get to their house. We do it because we actually love being together. We don't get the chance to do that very often anymore...not like we used to...so it means more now than it ever used to mean.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
